- This course was originally written by Jim Coley. Jim was the Chairman of the API Inspection Committee at the time 653 was developed and worked with Will Carter who was the Chairman of the then API PV&T (650, 620, 653) Committee. Jim and Will were the two original authors of the 653 document. We have had wonderful success with this course from the beginning. Jim continues to contribute his expertise and Richard Seay currently provides the updates.
- CodeWest supplies a pre-course study guide mailed 30 days in advance of the course with questions on all the codes required for study by API (you must be fully registered with tuition paid to receive the guide).
- An extensive text is provided at the course containing hundreds of practice questions, tank evaluation problems, sample welding documents for review per the actual exam requirements, and questions covering all the specified methods of NDE.
